Medico-Legal ServicesSERVICES TO THE COURT and LEGAL PROFESSION Dr Thorley is an experienced expert witness who has provided reports to the Court and solicitors for 16 years. He specialises in the psychological aspects of personal injury in clients up to the age of 21 years. Conditions evaluated include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Phobic Disorders, Depression and the effects of brain injury. Dr Thorley has considerable experience in the treatment of clients who have suffered psychological injuries as the result of accidents and trauma, utilising several treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Hypnosis and Guided Imagery. He is also a neuropsychologist and assesses brain injury and developmental disorders for young people under the age of 17 years. He has received specialist training in report writing and the provision of evidence in Court. He is a Law Society-approved witness, an Association of Personal Injury Lawyers-approved witness and a member of the UK Institute of Expert Witnesses. Clinics are held at the Spire Hospital Leicester. Domiciliary visits can also be arranged anywhere in the UK, and clinic facilities are available throughout the UK.
